The 6" barrel is used on the Ranco bottom dump 6" air gate cylinders. This barrels offers a way to replace a damaged barrel without having to buy a new cylinder.

The 6" barrel is used on the Ranco bottom dump 6" air gate cylinders. This barrels offers a way to replace a damaged barrel without having to buy a new cylinder. However, whenever the cylinder is torn apart you have to replace the seals inside the cylinder. The old seals cannot be reused; if you reuse them you're taking the chance of having an internal bypass air leak causing the cylinder not to function properly.
