Trunnion Bushing: Trunnion bushings are used to cushion the 5th plate and trunnion caps when the 5th plate is installed on the trailer. The 5th plate oscillates as its going over bumps and these bushings give the 5th plate and trunnion caps a cushion to oscillate on; keeping the trunnion tube from grinding on them causing wear.
