The rod end cap is used on the 8" cylinder to help align and secure the rod to the cylinder. This cap has a single hole in the center of it where the rod goes through and also where the rod seal kit sits.

This cap has a single hole in the center of it where the rod goes through and also where the rod seal kit sits. This cap is sold individually and only needs to be replaced if you have any deformities or any sharp edges that have formed around the edges.
