The Smithco king pin is used to tow the trailer. It's a drop in style kingpin and sits inside the king pin bushing.

The Smithco king pin is used to tow the trailer. It's a drop in style kingpin and sits inside the king pin bushing. Over time the kingpin and kingpin bushing can wear out causing slop. This slop is normally felt in stop and go conditions; you'll feel the trailer lurching/jerking when your taking off from a stop in traffic.
The kingpin is sold individually; there's 1 kingpin per trailer. All the Smitcho side dumps regardless of the year use this same kingpin.
