The lower cylinder pin works with the 5" and 6" hydraulic cylinders on the Smithco cylinders.
SMITHCO - CYLINDER LOWER PIN
The lower cylinder pin works with the 5" and 6" hydraulic cylinders on the Smithco cylinders. It holds the cylinder in place on the front and rear of the tub of the trailer. The lower pin is longer than the upper pin for easy identification. This pin is used on the bottom of the cylinders at the front and at the rear of the trailer. As the trailer is dumping over side to side; the cylinder pins are the only thing that's keeping the cylinder attached to the trailer.
