The weld on mounting plate is used on the sides of the tubs to bolt the tarp support arm onto. The mounting plate has 2 studs on it that once the plate gets welded to the tub it allows the tarp support arm to be bolted onto it.
PLEASE NOTE: These pieces are sold individually and not as a kit. make sure you need the weld on bracket before placing an order for this.

The weld on mounting plate is used on the sides of the tubs to bolt the tarp support arm onto. The mounting plate has 2 studs on it that once the plate gets welded to the tub it allows the tarp support arm to be bolted onto it. This offers a way to support the roll tube assembly when it's unrolled sitting stationary on the passenger side of the trailer. These pieces are sold individually and usually have 7 of them along the side of the trailer.
