Spiral torsion springs are used in the pivot mounts for spring retention in helping the arms roll the tarp over. They work on a wide array of applications that use the external pivot mounts. Depending on the tarp size and length of the application will determine how many torsion springs are required for the pivot housing. On external mount pivots; the springs can be seen inside the pivot; on top mount pivots the springs are hidden under a cover.
